School Interviews Approaching?

Online Interview Practice with Katie Knapman

Do you worry that even though your child is working hard for school entrance tests, they might not know what to expect at interview? And would you like them to have a practice run through with someone who spends a lot of time interviewing children (mainly online) and encouraging them to be the best they can be? While the interview is usually the last hurdle, it is still a very important part of the admissions process.

As the parent of two teenagers, I am familiar with the selection processes at top London day schools and boarding schools across the country. Using my experience as a BBC television presenter, I help children to prepare for school interviews.

In one-to-one online practice sessions tailored to your child, I focus on presentation, content and discussion. Above all, I look to build your child's confidence, helping them to share their strengths in a positive way and extend their answers appropriately. In addition to straightforward questions about academic subjects, sports and hobbies, I also include elements of interviews that cannot be learned, such as talking about a painting or poem, so that your child is better prepared for the unexpected. Above all, I try to make the sessions fun.

Sessions are 30 minutes and include feedback so that you can continue to boost your child's confidence, as well as some ideas for follow up.
